3-Day Iyengar Yoga Intensive: Structure and Integrity

What does it mean to be “stable”? In this course, we look beyond just balancing on one leg. We explore how to build a solid foundation from the ground up, finding a sense of steadiness that stays with you even when you leave the mat.

Integration is the second half of that journey. It’s about bringing the body, the breath, and the mind into the same conversation. When these parts of ourselves work together, the practice moves from being physical to a path of self-discovery. Join us as we learn to move with more awareness and find a quiet center in a busy world.

Structure and Integrity
A day for example

We build things up progressively. We focus on active, detailed work in the morning and transition into restorative practice in the evening to allow the body to recover.

8:30 AM – 10:30 AM | Morning Asana Session
We begin during the cool hours of the morning. We typically focus on standing work and inversions to build stability and heat.

10:30 AM – 3:00 PM | Free time to practice “doing nothing”
This is your time to explore McLeod Ganj, visit the Dalai Lama temple, or rest. You need this time to let the morning work sink in before you get back on the mat.

3:00 PM – 4:30 PM | Open Studio (Optional)
The studio stays open so you can go over what we did in the morning at your own pace. We will be there to help if you’re stuck on a move. This is where you develop the skills to practice independently.

5:30 PM – 7:00 PM | Restorative & Pranayama
Through supported postures and breathwork we aim to facilitate deep recovery so you are refreshed and ready for the next morning.

Frequently Asked questions

Find answers to your queries about Iyengar Yoga, teacher qualifications, props, alignment, and common health concerns.

Is the schedule the same every day for the 3-day course?
The 3-day course has a specific, changing theme each day. Day 1 focuses on standing foundations and balance, Day 2 centers on spinal mobility and twists, and Day 3 builds progressive strength through backbends and inversions.
What are the daily class times?
Each of the three days includes two focused sessions: a Morning Intensive from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, and an Afternoon Session from 4:45 PM to 6:00 PM.
Do I need to be an advanced student to do the backbends and inversions on Day 3?
No, we build up to these postures safely and progressively. For backbends, we focus on thoracic (upper back) mobility and structural support rather than “crunching” the lower back. For inversions, we use wall-assisted drills (like headstand or forearm stand) so you feel secure.
What does "restorative" mean?
During the afternoon session, we use props to support the body in restorative alignments. You are resting, but the poses are actively working to regulate your nervous system and focus on the mechanics of your breath.
What is the investment for the 3-day course?

The investment is 4500 INR, which covers both morning and afternoon sessions for all three days.
